When it comes to our young members, the focus is on saving. We reach out to them through special communications on our website and in specially designed newsletters mailed in their statements. Kids Korner helps guide youngsters through age 12 with saving and spending tips, word games, and more. Teen Scene was developed with a more sophisticated tone, introducing more financial services like loans for buying a car, establishing credit and regulating spending habits.
For one week in April, MHV joins credit unions across the nation in celebrating its youngest members during National Credit Union Youth Week. This week-long awareness campaign highlights youth services and educational programs. Its goal is to educate America’s youth on financial services so that they are more aware as they approach adulthood and need to use a financial institution for various saving and lending products.
