We are currently seeking a Credit Analyst to join our Business Services department. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Finance, or a related field, as well as two to four years of commercial underwriting experience is preferred.
The Credit Analyst is responsible for underwriting commercial loan requests, spreading financial statements, and performing an in depth analysis to determine the borrowing capacity, in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures. Additionally, the Credit Analyst will prepare credit memorandums, along with the appropriate recommendation, for review by the loan committee.
Additional functions of this position include performing annual reviews on the commercial loan portfolio, assisting in the servicing of existing Member Business Loans as needed, and gathering appropriate data to maintain portfolio monitoring and control reports.
Successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to prioritize workload and multi task. Candidate should also be proficient with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel and Word.
Loss Mitigation Representative/Collector
We are seeking an experienced Loss Mitigation Representative/Collector to join our Loss Mitigation department. Qualified candidates should have one to three years of similar or related experience.
Responsibilities of the Loss Mitigation Representative include preserving the credit union's assets by controlling delinquent loan accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments and/ or recovering collateral. Representative will be expected to identify possible loss mitigation strategies on delinquent loans, such as; financial counseling, repayment plans, and deferments. Candidate must also have a willingness to work additional or flexible hours as needed, including some evenings and Saturdays.
Individual must have superior listening and verbal communication skills, as a primary responsibility of the position is to contact delinquent accounts by phone and mail, and taking the appropriate action to bring accounts current. The representative will also analyze the financial situation of delinquent borrowers and make recommendations to liquidate collateral or foreclose when other arrangements to bring the loan current are unsuccessful. Successful candidate will demonstrate strong time management skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to manage multiple workloads.
We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Originator to take care of our members’ financial needs in Ulster County. Qualified candidates must have proven sales skills, 3 to 5 years of experience in mortgage origination, and knowledge of the secondary market.
Successful candidate can expect to be involved in marketing activities and promotional strategies to attract new purchase business, will aggressively promote MHV to real estate agents, builders, contractors, developers, financial planners/CPAs, attorneys and other referral sources, can expect to participate in business development activities outside of the office, such as realtor open houses and home buyer seminars, and will be expected to make contacts through community networking. Expect, too, to originate quality mortgage loans; manage members through the loan process, from data collection and analysis through loan conclusion; and maintain positive client relationships.
We're looking for a talented sales professional with strong relationship-building skills, who will listen to and analyze member needs, and respond with solid financial solutions. Candidates must be computer literate; have a strong understanding of underwriting criteria and guidelines; a mortgage banking background required with a proven track record of success; ability to generate annual production volumes of at least $15 million a year; public speaking skills with the ability to make presentations; and the ability to educate borrowers on loan products and process.
Part-Time Consumer Loan Indirect Auto Dealer Representative, Orange County Area
We are seeking a part-time Consumer Loan Indirect Dealer Representative to manage our indirect lending relationships with independent and franchise auto dealerships in Orange County. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outside sales, business development, establishing and managing profitable relationships, as well as a knowledge of the credit union’s auto loan products and services. Additional responsibilities include cultivating current dealer relationships, attending industry and job related special events and promotions.
Business Intelligence Analyst
We are currently seeking a full-time Business Intelligence Analyst to leverage data analytics throughout the credit union to drive growth, profitability and efficiencies. The chosen candidate will implement our data warehouse and analytics platform and provide data visualizations and dashboards enabling key departmental users to access data autonomously. He or she will communicate with department power- users to provide relevant data and analytics to the organization.
The successful candidate will have a 4 year degree and/or 5+ years of similar or related experience. Must have proven experience with a modern data visualization tool, such as Tableau, Power BI, Microstrategy, etc., strong T-SQL querying and development skills (MySQL, PL/SQL or similar experience), experience with SSIS, and the ability to create SQL views and stored procedures.
Call Center Representatives
We are currently seeking to fill several positions in our Call Center. The Call Center is a fast-paced, customer service- focused environment! Candidates should have sales and customer service experience, and financial experience is a plus. Our Call Center is open Monday-Friday from 8am to 8pm, and Saturday from 8am-5pm.
The role of the Call Center Representative is to assist members over the phone with their Credit Union needs by explaining products and services, opening new accounts, processing loan requests, responding to problems, making recommendations to satisfy member needs, assisting members with our home banking suite of products, and directing members to the appropriate individuals as needed.
Candidates chosen will be personable, with self confidence and have an outgoing personality. Successful candidates must be motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and work well in a pressured environment. Successful candidates will be responsible to attain established goals for cross selling credit union products and services.
