FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
KINGSTON – Shayna Ostoyic has been awarded the Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union Chairman’s Award for TALENT as announced by Gary Anderson, Chairman of the Board. Anderson maintains the value of the award is to encourage employees to go above and beyond, and acknowledge employees’ dedication and commitment to MHV.
TALENT is an acronym that represents the winning attributes of Top Performance, Availability, Leadership, Energy, New Vision and Teamwork.
The Chairman presented Shayna with the award to the applause of directors and management at the July 26th board meeting.
“MHV is very proud of its employees for their daily commitment to both internal and external member service,” says Anderson. “It’s important to let employees know just how much they contribute to the success of the credit union by awarding those who consistently make the extra effort to go above and beyond.”
Shayna Ostoyic began her career with MHV in 2014 as a Teller in the Saugerties Branch. She transferred to the Support Services Department and was promoted to Support Services Representative. Shayna is responsible for tracking all Error Resolution issues as well as supporting branch and call center staff and members with questions around Cards, Online and Mobile Banking, IRAs and Death Claims.
Shayna has demonstrated a strong willingness to learn, completing both the ACH Professional (AAP) Preparatory course series and earning her IRA Certified Representative classification. She works collaboratively with various departments across the credit union, from partnering with branch staff to better understand members’ needs to the Risk Department to help mitigate risks to our members.
As Shayna’s manager, Jessica Roche, states, "Shayna is the ultimate team player in so many ways. She is dedicated to getting the job done, no matter what job. She pursues permanent solutions to issues which will help other staff and our membership.”
Shayna is a graduate of Saugerties High School and SUNY Ulster. She recently earned her Associates Degree and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree. She currently resides in Saugerties.
