Richard Short has been awarded the Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union (MHV) Chairman’s Award for TALENT as announced by Gary Anderson, Chairman of the Board. Anderson maintains the value of the award is to encourage employees to go above and beyond, and acknowledge employees’ dedication and commitment to MHV.

TALENT is an acronym that represents the winning attributes of Top Performance, Availability, Leadership, Energy, New Vision and Teamwork.

The Chairman presented Richard with the award at a recent Board meeting.

“MHV is very proud of its’ employees for their daily commitment to both internal and external member service,” says Anderson. “It’s important to let employees know just how much they contribute to the success of the credit union by awarding those who consistently make the extra effort to go above and beyond.”

Richard began his career with MHV in 2008 in the Facilities Department. Today, he is the Credit Union’s Facility Coordinator and manages its daily maintenance, equipment upgrades, and seasonal projects. Throughout the past year, MHV has completed several full Branch renovations and Rich expertly managed multiple vendors and project deadlines.

As Rich’s manager, Charles Broe, states, “You’ll never know Rich to complain. He is one of the most pleasant, easy going, cooperative people you’ll ever meet.”

Because of his ability to effectively oversee the many responsibilities of the Facilities Department, as well as last-minute projects, Rich has been awarded the Chairman’s Award for TALENT. “His pleasant demeanor, and his performance results in his position, are always consistent. Rich is never one to seek recognition for his work; his emphasis is on the team’s success,” adds Charles.
