FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Woodstock, NY— Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union (MHV) presented a check for $1,500 to the Woodstock Land Conservancy (WLC) as part of a Woodstock community outreach effort by MHV.

Maxanne Resnick, Executive Director of Woodstock Land Conservancy, accepted the donation from Wayne Winkler, CEO of MHV, at the Woodstock Branch located at 85 Mill Hill Road. The donation will go towards preserving land and trails in the Woodstock and surrounding area. WLC works to protect open lands, scenic areas, natural resources, and historic sites by collaborating with landowners to offer alternative uses of selling their land. They team up with other conversation groups, businesses and local and state agencies to achieve their goals to bring together a community that everyone benefits.

“MHV’s generous end of year donation to our organization was a great holiday surprise for us.” said Maxanne Resnick, Executive Director of Woodstock Land Conversancy. “Our work is dependent on the support of the people and organizations in our community, and we were gratified to receive this donation recognizing what WLC provides here in the Woodstock area. MHV is helping us to continue our important work, now in our 30th year, which includes protecting our natural resources, and providing educational programming as well as recreational
access to beautiful public preserves. Thank you MHV!”

MHV is committed to the community and the organizations that help support the people of the Mid-Hudson Valley region. MHV President/CEO, Wayne Winkler commented, “It’s part of the cooperative spirit of the credit union to help community organizations such as the Woodstock Land Conversancy. They do a great job to help preserve the area for all to enjoy.” The Woodstock Land Conservancy is a non-profit organization committed to the protection and preservation of the open lands, forests, water resources, scenic areas and historic sites in
