Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union (MHV) has been a long-time community partner, supporting other Hudson Valley non-profits with financial contributions and volunteerism. Recently, MHV employees demonstrated just how deeply this dedication to community runs.
Over the course of several months, the MHV staff held raffles, managed bake sales and organized a golf tournament to raise funds for the Hudson Valley Cancer Resource Center. A local non-profit organization, the Hudson Valley Cancer Resource Center is dedicated to supporting Hudson Valley residents living with and affected by cancer. They provide a centralized point for information, educational resources, support services and financial assistance.
The efforts of MHV’s employees resulted in a $13,270 donation to the Hudson Valley Cancer Resource Center. “We chose to partner with the Hudson Valley Cancer Resource Center because they give back to the communities we serve,” notes Donna Spada, Executive Secretary at MHV. “We fell in love with what they do for people living with cancer.” Spada, along with Mortgage Underwriter Kim Klomm, spearheaded MHV’s fundraising efforts.
