In 2011, MHV introduced its WOW Award program, allowing staff to nominate each other for monthly awards to recognize service that extended above and beyond one’s typical day-to-day responsibilities.

This year, the recognition program was refreshed to more accurately reflect the Credit Union’s core values. In keeping with MHV’s mission of guiding people on their financial journeys, the new recognition award has been dubbed the Trailblazer Award.

Employees are still nominated by their co-workers for the award, but the qualities a staff member must demonstrate in order to win have been more clearly defined. Individuals are nominated if they are:

  1. An innovator and a problem solver

  2. A doer, mover and shaker

  3. An inspiration, a pioneer who clears a path for others to follow

  4. A person who makes a positive impact at MHV

The award is given out each quarter; the 2019 recipients have included Michael Campbell and Ryne Milkins for the first and second quarter respectively. Michael is a Business Development Officer with MHV and earned his Trailblazer Award for championing community relation efforts within the Credit Union and forging community relationships outside of MHV. Ryne, a Member Service Representative in the Credit Union’s Highland Branch, received a Trailblazer Award for his incredible work ethic, willingness to participate in community and networking events, and his continuous dedication to providing a high level of member service.

Check out the photos below of our celebration with Michael and Ryne.
