Gary Anderson and Kayla Maisenhelder
Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union (MHV) is proud to recognize Kayla Maisenhelder, Learning & Development Specialist, as the recipient of the Chairman’s Award for the third quarter of 2025.
Kayla exemplifies what it means to lead with MHV’s Core Values – bringing creativity, collaboration, and compassion into every facet of her work.
Most recently, Kayla spearheaded the creation and launch of Department Spotlights, a new feature within MHV’s onboarding and internal training program. Designed to strengthen organizational understanding and collaboration, Department Spotlights gives key back-office teams the opportunity to introduce their roles to new and promoted employees. Kayla’s strategic approach and ability to unite teams around a shared purpose ensured a smooth and impactful rollout.
”Kayla approaches every project with a rare blend of heart and strategy,” shares Julie Jensen, Manager of Learning & Development. “She sees the bigger picture and knows how to bring people together to make meaningful progress – whether that’s enhancing our training experience or creating a stronger sense of connection across the organization. Her energy is contagious, and she has an incredible ability to make people feel seen, supported, and excited to contribute.”
That commitment to connection was especially evident outside the office. Kayla played a leading role in organizing this year’s Softball Showdown, which welcomed about 100 employees for a day of fun, food, and team spirit. She also co-hosted a company-wide kickball game in September, bringing together 60 employees and spectators for a memorable afternoon of laughter and camaraderie.
Beyond her project successes, Kayla is recognized as a natural leader and trusted colleague. She mentors peers, encourages innovation, and consistently steps up to help wherever she’s needed – all while keeping the member experience front and center.
Kayla’s integrity, positivity, and unwavering dedication make her a standout member of the MHV team and a true reflection of the Chairman’s Award spirit.
