MHV Announces 2026 College Scholarship Opportunities for Local Students

MHV is once again participating in the New York Credit Union Association’s (NYCUA) statewide scholarship program, which offers eligible students a chance to win funds ranging from $250 to $1,500 for the 2026 academic year. In 2025, the NYCUA awarded $32,250 in scholarships to 50 talented students across the state.

All qualified applicants will also be considered for one of three $2,500 scholarships sponsored by MHV. These scholarships recognize outstanding students in our community who embody the credit union philosophy of “people helping people”.

To qualify, applicants must:

  • be a current high-school senior,
  • attend a two- or four-year accredited educational institution or vocational/trade school for the first time in the fall of 2026, and
  • be a member of Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union

Applicants are also evaluated based on their academic achievements, involvement in extracurricular activities, and the quality of their written essays.

Applications will be accepted online only and must be completed by January 9, 2026.
